Nice job. Always feels good when the recipient is pleased.

It's a beautiful quilt and while SID can be time consuming, I think it really works on this quilt.

That's really a pretty quilt. I love everything about it and I'm sure your friend will love it, too. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for all the info. Have a good day and stay warm.

please don't feel that way- we do not mean for you to feel criticized in a negative way- the quilt Is beautiful and your stitch in the ditch quilting also is beautiful. one of the things we all learn here on this board is quilters 'share' their input/advice when they see pictures of quilts - if they see something that perhaps someone did not realize, or didn't know and we can 'help' educate- inform we do----that's one of the great things about being a member of the forum- we all learn lots. if the quilt is not going to be used/laundered often it might never have the problem we have brought up. it was not meant to make you feel bad about the wonderful job by both of you- it was meant to let quilters know- that when quilts are used/laundered if the gaps between quilting lines are not close enough batting pulls apart and balls up making unsightly clumps in some areas and bare areas in others. if the quilt is a wall hanging, or one that isn't going to really be used it doesn't matter so much- please always go ahead and show us pictures of your quilts- we all love to look- and all of us who post those pictures do receive lots of feed back- some is just ooohs & ahhsss, some is advice and constructive input. we are here to learn from one another...nothing bad/negative intended

I have to say, that the quilt is beautiful and the stitch in the ditch is wonderful...I know that I can not stitch a straight line to save my soul...not even with ruler work lol....But ckowl is correct in that we post pics of our work to be viewed, oohs & ahss and yes sometimes constructive input, which I really appreciate for sure as I learn that way...

"Ditched the blocks" LOL - I thought that meant you didn't use them.
it's a great quilt and I love the colors. Stitch in the ditch quilting always looks right to me when it is a modern design.
