It is a beautiful and thoughtful thing to do for them. They will love it and it will be nice and toasty warm.

Gorgeous quilt and so well done!

I too would have agreed with you. A brown and red quilt would not be pretty and would be boring. But you have made me have to take all of that back. I love your quilt. Great use of colors and design.

That is one 'big' beautiful quilt! It certainly turned out great. Love seeing fabrics from overseas.

The only fabric that was purchased here in Poland (I think) was the off white, which was purchased as a cotton duvet (100%) probably originally from England--from Turkey, maybe, or Portugal, and the backing, which was also a duvet, 100% cotton, purchased second hand--probably also from England.

Most of my "interesting" fabrics are brought over in my luggage or sent over in boxes and shipped by boat--arrives up to 3 months after I've been in the states. I was in the USA 2x last year so I was able to ship back to myself several boxes of fabric either donated or stuff I bought.

But I will be scouting, when I can get a moment, for interesting fabric while we are in Turkey.

The last stitch can be the most rewarding one. Now, do not lose it on the journey! It's gorgeous!
