# 2 gets my vote - beautiful

First of all, I like option # 2 because the black border stops the design and frames the quilt very nicely. As for sashing, I would almost need to see a prototype on one that was sashed before I would have an opinion, but I definitely think if you do decide to sash it, the sashing should be narrow so as not to distract from the stars. Whatever you do, it promises to be a very pretty quilt!

I also like option 2 no sashing with the black border. It seems
to balance out the rest of the quilt. A great job. I like it a lot.
I'm sure your daughter will too.

Option #2 is my vote! :)

Love #2, it really makes the quilt design pop.

Alma, my vote was number 2 - even before reading the rest of the opinions!

However .... and JIMHO ... get the blocks made before you make your decision re sashes/borders.

Once you have the real thing in front of you, you can get a very real feel as to what borders are needed, and how wide.

There is no need to decide now (again JIMHO) !!!

have to agree---decide AFTER blocks are made...
