definitely sashing..Whatever color ou want will be great

Purple is a complentary color to yellow, if you want a triad color scheme use purple and blue. A tetrad color scheme would give you purple, blue, and green with the yellow. The purple with yellow may sound odd but it really pops put together.

The blocks were made in the Boom 9 swap. I sent 36 people the yellow and asked for any block but to please use only white or a yellow that matched. These are the blocks I got back and yes, they are beautiful. Its for my 27 year old granddaughters birthday. Her favorite color is sunny yellow. I like the idea of taking a few blocks to the fabric store with me..they have helped me before. Ill definately post a picture when (if) I get it finished in time! :)

yep, sashing.. black or maybe brown. But the blocks are terrific.

I would not put in sashing, but would frame it with a small inner border of white and a larger outer border of yellow. the amount of yellow in the quilt really doesn't allow for another color to be introduced.

Here is another quilter putting in her two cents, maybe a dark green batik fabric?

As much as I like to set things off with contrasting sashing, I think a white sashing would be ideal for this. If you want to add another color, do it in the cornerstones. There is much to be said for a completely 2 color quilt.
