I remember these! The blocks look fabulous.
I'd probably go for the red - but much narrower. And the idea upthread of combining 4 without sashing is interesting. Or what to do they look like with a thinner sashing but dropped a half-block? Or on point? I'm for anything that avoids the ubiquitous squares in a grid layout. ;-) |

This block is amazing. How many pieces are in it anyway? How many have you made? You are dogged, Mamma! Here are some with skinnier sashing and one without any sashing. |

I read all the threads and agreed about red, and thinner sashing but now that I see it without sashing ... I like the secondary pattern of no sashing.
Very nice block! I have one of Carol's books - gonna have to see if this block is in it. Love the block! |
