That is awesome. I save my scraps too. I just can't throw them out. I have too many as it is, but I bought two boxes recently online. Sometimes I don't know what I'm thinking, but they new scraps are so much prettier than mine...lol.

I love how bright it is. Great use of scraps. (Time to leave the light on in the sewing room at night so the kids behave, lol.)

For those that are not using their scraps, maybe you should advertise on here to anyone that could use them. There are a bunch of quilters that are making postage stamp quilts that are in need of scraps from all over to add variety to their quilts, and to enter the swaps, and to trade with. Also for those that are not using them, there are plenty of other quilters that can't afford yardage, and would be happy to pay the postage on left over scraps. Scraps are fabric that can be used, as you see from this wonderful quilt.

Wow - great job. I see a lot more behind the remaining wonky strips!

You did a great job of taming the scrap shrew and the outcome is a wonderful quilt for somebody.

and my finished top....
All from my scraps ( minus the muslin)

the blue borders were scraps of strips that i pieced to make fit.. and the piano keys in between the blues, were 2.5-3 inches of scrap strips i sewed on register receipt tape over the years..

Im happy to say i made a dent in my wonky strip stash piles.. Whoo Hoo !!

Holy Moley! That's one awesome quilt! I adore primarily colors. (Who am I kidding...I love ALL colors! LOL! )

I'll sure keep that in mind from now on! I usually post an ad on the Freecycler because I hate to throw them away.

i have used light weight fabrics....semi sheers, etc, for my foundation....things not suitable for a quilt top, but good enuf for backing.

Impressive... your pile of scraps transformed into a work of art. Good job!
