Thanks for the all the inspiration. I have the rest of the week without my husband. My machine is set up in the kitchen so I can keep an eye on the dog and hope to be able to post to this page.

OMG! And there I thought I was the only one who had to "plan" my sewing around letting my puppy out... LOL! :D

This one is destined to be donated to the hospital and be given to one of the older male patients.

This one still needs to be quilted! This one too will eventually find it's way to a child!

What great quilts! I especially love the plaid one. What a sweetheart you are to donate such beautiful things!

It was great timing for me as I had already organised all my scraps over the last few weeks. I separated the strips first, then cut up anything smaller than a fat 8th, into whatever size square was most economical from 6" down to 2" as I can't bear to waste even a tiny scrap! All the odd 'crumbs' were put into another box, as well as any I thought were better for applique, so my scraps were all ready to go when you posted this topic! Most of all, by seeing all the wonderful 'true' scrappy quilts, I was able to take the plunge and 'go for it' as I was having the hardest time taking the plunge to work with colour value rather than colour coordinating!

I am having the best time making this scrappy quilt which DH has already claimed for his own! He even chose the final block design and layout!!

So thank you Grammy Dwynn and all my quilting buddies here who have posted all the wonderful quilts

Please post a picture of this when it's done, OK? I can't wait to see it!

And here is the quilt all finished:

It will always be such a special quilt for me, as it was the last quilt that John used while he was dying, he really loved watching this one evolve and had the final say on the block layout and borders etc. :)

Izy, that's fabulous! I love the back too. Oh man, makes me want to attack my stash, but got other things going right now. I better hurry up and finish because I'm ready to start something new.
