Windblown hair is in and so are scrappy quilts. I particularly like those arrows and the green/orange log cabin block.

I LOVE scrappy quilts and your first 3 pix in particular hit all the right notes with me! (Just started a new scrappy quilt tonight using a 60 degree triangle. Don't know yet how it's meant to be put together but it will come to me.) Congrats on your beautiful quilts!

Djmat - Windblown hair seems to be the normal thing anywhere in the west, I think. But helps the snow to melt in the spring. Love your quilts. Thanks for sharing pictures.

Here's another from my files. I spent a good part of 2011 making this one ... really disliked making the front (limited number of colors that I did NOT choose) so I got even on the back and made what I wanted to make! And yes, these are both the same quilt. Red stars on the front, black & white, etc. on the back.

thimblebug, i love you 2nd one. where did you get the pattern? please.
|
DJmat, wonderful to see your smiling face -- and I just love your quilts!

ladynredd....I like the back better too. I usually love the snails trail pattern but wouldn't have chosen that color combination either. It was very generous of you to work so hard on it. It looks great despite the color choices somebody else made.

I like the looks of the scrappy quilts ladies....I have recently inherated some of my late Grandmothers material that she quilted with years ago...there is plenty of scraps actually a few bags full this gives me iseas on how to use them thanks
