Many of you wanted to see the next batch of Sunbonnet Sue's demise. Poor Sue!

These include:

Sue Caught in Charlotte's Web
Giant Stew Sue
PMS?
Carrie Sue (this one was buried in the other thread)
Sue meets the Sioux with all embellishments in place.

Paciderm Poo Sue

This one even freaked me out. It is based on the Steven King novel "Gerald's Game. I call it Sam's Game and it will not make it on the quilt. Stylistically too different. However, I am still working on FrankenSue, Sue takes a shower at the Bates' Motel, Riding Accident by Sockmonkey Mountain, and SueShi.

QM 03-24-2013 06:32 PM

Poor Sue! these are wonderful!

I meant to delete Sue Stew without the salt and pepper shakers but took out Carrie Sue instead. Here is another nod to Steven King:

Maureen 03-24-2013 06:52 PM

They sure are different

alikat110 03-24-2013 07:01 PM

Thanks for the new ones. I was just thinking of you today.....glad to see you've made progress

Diane007 03-24-2013 07:08 PM

How very creative

btiny36 03-24-2013 07:32 PM

They are certainly interesting for sure.....great job though

ruthrings 03-24-2013 07:32 PM

What fun!! Great sense of humor and skill combined!

cathyvv 03-24-2013 08:29 PM

You have a great sense of humor! I could see these being mass produced as quilts and selling big time. Maybe even a movie deal where Sue meets a vampire 'bonnet' family...the possibilities are endless.

fxsts93kf 03-24-2013 09:19 PM

Lol I don't know about mass production but they sure make me smile! Guess I'm a little warped too! Good work!

barri1 03-24-2013 09:27 PM

I love them. They are really awesome, but a little too weird for me..

lpsewing 03-24-2013 09:36 PM

Let's see, I am checking this out for the first time sooooo, may I ask, are you having people submit to you their version ?
Looks interesting & very unique !

SheriR 03-24-2013 09:43 PM

Great job! I like these as much as your last ones. Very creative.

gramajo 03-25-2013 03:44 AM

Love, love, love them. Can't wait to see the finished quilt.

Freckles48 03-25-2013 03:58 AM

I love them....giggled throughout!

feline fanatic 03-25-2013 04:01 AM

Sick, I know but these just make me smile. They are quite ingenious. PMS? is hilarious and probably my favorite one to date. Charlottes Web is creepily delightful but I am an arachnophobe and get the willies just looking at pictures of spiders. Yours was just a bit to realistic for my taste. LOL

hsweany 03-25-2013 04:46 AM

I love mystery books and I really love these!

susiequilt 03-25-2013 06:48 AM

Great job by you and your cohorts!

GrannieLOU 03-25-2013 06:58 AM

Love it, Love it, Love it!

Lisa_wanna_b_quilter 03-25-2013 07:01 AM

You are a twisted group. I love them all, but Pacaderm Poo may get my vote just for the name alone. Thanks for sharing. Don't forget to show us the entire quilt when it's finished.

mighty 03-25-2013 07:18 AM

Great work. They crack me up!!!!!!

Candace 03-25-2013 07:19 AM

I showed DH the recent installment and we just laughed and laughed. Thanks and keep it up.

There is another thread in the pictures section titled "My Mad Murder Spree - Killing Sunbonnet Sue" which has a bit more explanation with the pics. It all started with a swap and those blocks are shown on page 1 here. Sadly, I am done with the project - well, 4 more to go but they are already designed and ready to "execute" lol. Then I want to use QAYG method to put it all together.

I'm an arachnophobe as well and I had a really hard time with this one. One of my coworkers had that spider as a plastic thing hanging on her wall and she photocopied it for me because it was the perfect size. I just couldn't think about what it would be in real life.

nena 03-25-2013 08:20 AM

Poor Sue. She used to be such a nice kid. lol

Veronica 03-25-2013 08:28 AM

I love it every time I log on and see you added new Sue's.
You make me laugh so hard.
You are to funny, I love your imagination.

Veronica 03-25-2013 08:29 AM

Pacaderm Poo! lol!

joyce888 03-25-2013 12:56 PM

These are just too funny!

Luv Quilts and Cats 03-25-2013 01:04 PM

You are just too funny! Love the new squares! I can't wait to see the completed top. I just may have to do some of my own Sue's Demise blocks. I am thinking of doing a Monty Python theme. Like Sue in the pet shop with a dead parrot, Sue being crushed by the cow flung out of the castle in Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Oh just imagine all the fun!!!

Pat M. 03-25-2013 03:00 PM

My friend and I are going to be teaching a class "Sunbonnet Sue, The Good, The Bad and the Ugly". If it goes well I will post some pictures.

Yea this one does not fit with the others stylistically, but I am enjoying your sense of humor and execution (ha ha) of these ideas. Great fun and certainly not your Grandmother's quilt.

Or she could be doing the funny walk. lol

I was thinking about doing a Sue and Sam quilt but I think I'll move on to all those other patterns I have on my list.

sandpat 04-02-2013 03:58 AM

Another great batch! Just how much wine did you drink before dreaming up the sequels:D?

earthwalker 04-02-2013 03:19 PM

Brilliant....love that cooking pot. Reckon you should send Stephen King a couple of pics. bet he would never have thought his books could be translated into quilt blocks:). Goodness knows what you would come up with for Joyce Carol Oates. Well done Mad....love 'em.

heather1949 04-02-2013 07:03 PM

They are going to be beautiful.

dreamer2009 04-04-2013 02:11 PM

Omg~~~love !!!

Boston1954 04-04-2013 06:59 PM

How about Cujo?

One of my early lists had another circus act gone bad where Sue sticks her head in the lion's mouth - that is kind of Cujo-ish. lol I tossed the idea because the poor lion couldn't open its mouth wide enough for that stupid bonnet. lol

Patti - this is my mind without drugs or alcohol. Scary - huh?
