My angelee finally thanked me for the two things I sent her so I felt better that she got them anyway. I know how you feel, a little left out!

mine is getting their little treats. They even say they like them! I saw someone got Secret Friend cards already. I must be a dunce, thought that was the last week of January? OH Wait! this is our own club, we can make the additional rules.. the holiday will be when I get that package in the mail!! for a moment thought I was late. I hate being late. Nerves go, hair goes.. so the package had better go too (too bad the fat doesnt go.. but no not that lucky). I do think maybe there are a few who are not receiving yet, perhaps a note to K to see if their assigned partner still wants to play or perhaps they can get a new angelee who might have more time right now? So, I vote POST if your not getting anything yet so your not left out in the cold. This is a very cold winter without being angel- less.

OK, I"ll start the post of not getting anything yet. Notice I"m saying YET. I checked that the correct address was sent. So, who ever got the names who haven't received yet, and decided to not play, just let KWhite know. (PS, I"m sending stuff)

I have not received yet either so atleast now I know I am not the only one out there who has not heard from their Angel yet. I have sent 2 packages to mine, I know she got the first one but have not heard back yet on the second one. I know with this strange weather some things may have been delayed.

I have so enjoyed seeing everyones nice gifts.

I haven't recieved anything yet from my secret angel but living in Australia may hold the post up.
My secret angel has received her gifts and it so so exciting when you read that they like what has been sent.

I have received one gift from my angel...I can't wait to hear from her again! I've sent a number of things to my angelee...she doesn't post regularly when she gets stuff, so I'm hoping they are getting there! I'll probably have Karen check in with her soon if she doesn't post!

The first package I sent has been received and the second is on it's way. Thinking up special surprises is truly something I enjoy.

ok there is a thread under member swaps that there are postings of people getting secret angel swap items and I think it should be over here so if your secret angel hasnt acknowledged your gift you might check that link and see if the thank you shows up in the postings. I did note that they should come here in the future but.. well you know how that goes!

go to the user list look up your angel. Then read the posts/threads she has started and you will get a better idea of the likes dislikes and maybe see some projects she/he has done. Just a thought. A treasure trove of ideas in those postings (now everyone will run out and post.. gee saw some GORGEOUS HOT PINK ELEPHANTS WHICH I ADORE.. or plaids anyone else into plaids like I am? the postings will flood the site!)

I have sent out a little something squishy, and in the mail I recieved a squishy. This is sooooo cool. I love my fabric, I have not taken a photo but will try that too. :-D :thumbup:

I gave TONS of info when I signed up. My SQA probably read it and rolled their eyes :roll:
I just want them to know what I like incase they weren't sure what to get but of course I LOVE it all!!

I'll have to admit that I didn't give out a ton of info when I signed up because...1. I like everything, 2. I post...alot...way too much...I have a big mouth and if they have weeks, they can find out most everything about me from the posts...3...I like everything...and finally 4...I'm soooo easy to please :lol:

I have sent and I know they were recieved.....but my mailbox stays empty. I think everyone should have sent a card and then each anglee could have reported if they got one. I know from other swaps that people just drop out....they like to get things, then don't send.
January in NY is not a pleasant month and some of the other northern states across the US are probably the same. Lots of ice and snow and cold and not much sun....its nice to get a cheery card

I think if the angelee has not heard from their angel by 1/31 then Karen should send them a pm asking if they still want to be involved, and give them a nudge. If no reply, then she needs to do some reassigning. This is supposed to be a two-way street...and a feel good thing, not a competition or a way to get free goodies without doing in return. What do you think?

I agree. If you changed your mind and don't want to participate please contact Kwhite and let her know. It's mean spirited to not send your angelee anything. Yes, times are hard and sometimes, postage is daunting but even a simple card will bring a smile. Also, you can slip a single FQ or a package of needles in a card and it will not affect the weight. Can't afford a FQ...make one from your stash... goodness... we aren't suppose to spend $20+ each month on this...

Guess what!?! I got a lovely package from my secret angel! It came on Thursday. I love my angel! She sent a beautiful reed room fresher. It has straw and reed flowers to disburse the air freshener. Disney fabric fat squares, TWO PINK ones, which I just LOVE! This cool little magnetic pin picker upper, and a chalk line marker. IT WAS LIKE CHRISTMAS!! It couldn't have come on a better day...but, she changed it into a wonderful day. Did I say that I love everything?? Thanks a bunch!!

I agree 100%.I was so excited when my gift arrived that I couldn't wait to get online to tell you all about it and send out photos of them.....

As I mentioned earlier, I know my angelee received the first but I have sent more cards and a few gifts also.......and have read nothing since.........

Got to put my 2 cents in here. And up front I received mine before I sent the one for my angelee and I don't know if she has it or not but I am just anxious about that..and that being said...It's only Jan 15th.. This is suppose to be fun, it's suppose to be a surprise for you to send to someone. Some people work, don't get to the Post office (I never go there, it's way across town, so I mean never), we don't know what is going on in people's lives.

I just went out to the mailbox and nothing again....my mail man comes 10 am :-( This month is half over today...

Just to let my SQA know. Thank you so much for the package, it was wonderful. I love the angel panel and other goodies and that it came quickly was an added bonus and I appreciate the thought.

I also haven't seen or heard that my secret angel has received her little package.

Wednesday I got out of the house, first time in weeks, because of snow. I picked up the mail, I got 2 squishy packets.
One was my first block of our block swap started this month. It was very very pretty in Asian, fabrics. the
pattern was called Buzzards Roost by the creator.,buddysmom. thank you so much .
the second was my first gift from my "Pink Angel" she calls herself. Asian fabric, I wish I could describe it, here goes, pinks and golds,aahhhhh I love it. :lol: thank you very much. I have Asian fabric but am reluctant to cut it and use it. I just love the golds, coppers, blacks,pinks red.
So with the swap and Secret Angel I am letting you lovely talented ladies teach me what to do with my stash. I sent out my first angel gift, enjoy :?: :wink:

Just a little word from my soapbox: this "swap" is supposed to be fun, and "SECRET". Do you all recall filling out the survey that lets our Angels know what our special days are? Perhaps those of you who didn't put in a lot of dates have Angels who are waiting for one of those dates and will send something more substantial? Just a guess.

My whole point here is that we shouldn't be impatient about waiting for our Angels to contact us. My take on an Angel is that it is someone who just "knows" when I need something and they send it to me, making my day brighter. Sometimes it's just a card or a note, sometimes it's more than generous. Whatever it is, it's the thought that someone else is thinking of me that makes it all the more special.

Okay, ladies, exiting my soapbox now. Don't be too impatient, but just remember: what goes around comes around. If you want to HAVE a good Angel, then first BE a good Angel...

And for those of you who haven't received anything yet, I'm soooooo sorry. Here's hoping your Angels come through for you very soon.
