athenagwis a member of this board hosted a "virtual quilt along" this past Sunday, http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...a-t186109.html and this is what I managed to accomplish.

I finished a bed runner I had been working on finishing it with the Cathedral Window rolled type binding that another member of this board (dilyn) did a wonderful tute on http://www.quiltingboard.com/tutoria...g-t184029.html . I also completed the bulk of my Storm at Sea--I'm still deciding if I want to put borders on or not... Anyway thanks for looking at my humble accomplishments!

Beautiful!! I am going to attempt the pattern for your bed runner. I really appreciate the quilting because I was thinking SITD. Also, how did you do Cathedral Window rolled type binding? It looks really nice!

QM 04-18-2012 11:23 AM

Not too humble, I hope. You did good jobs there.

Here's the link for the binding: http://www.quiltingboard.com/tutoria...g-t184029.html . The bed runner was really easy, it's just the 10-minute block.

QUILTNMO 04-18-2012 11:29 AM

I just love the way the "Storm at Sea" tricks the eye into seeing curves where there are none! I've never seen it done in animal prints before, but it looks fantastic. Thanks for sharing with us.
