The brown paisly definitely caught my eye but I also like the darker blue. It is hard for me to tell though with only one in there for visual. I love your stack and whack blocks they are really beautiful. I also liked the idea of maybe using blocks of the original fabric.

Lynneander 11-22-2010 07:16 AM

So many ways to see this ... I like the brown and paisley

grammyp 11-22-2010 07:17 AM

One more brown.

madelinkk 11-22-2010 07:18 AM

Brown and gold.

Dani 11-22-2010 07:41 AM

I like the 9 patch idea!!!!!! That would be really pretty!!!

I like the blue, it pops.

DebraK 11-22-2010 07:56 AM

I think I like the brown paisley

I just realized that your carpet is showing in the other corners. Sorry it's late. I'm going to bed now but I think you need to fing a color similar to the flooring and use it with the lt blue.

LOL !! I thought the same thing!

Yep, find the carpet color for my vote

Me too. I was going to say the gray, but then I realized it was your carpet.

SharonG 11-22-2010 08:07 AM

I like the brown and gold reversed best. Gives a feel of symmetry and elegance.

I like the brown and gold, as well, for the same reason.

RedGarnet222 11-22-2010 08:50 AM

I think the light blue pops out and enhances the quilt. But honestly I think it should be a much lighter blue.

skavanau 11-22-2010 08:53 AM

I like the dark blue.. It makes it pop..

humbird 11-22-2010 08:55 AM

I also like the idea of 9 patch with the brown and gold. Really like you S&W!

Ellie377073 11-22-2010 09:03 AM

I like the blue. It makes it pop.

franie 11-22-2010 10:19 AM

Oh My--I opened a big can of worms! I never thought I would get such diverse opinions. Not sure either block won the vote. LOL I might try the light tan or gray too if I have anything in that color. I don't have any of the fabric left of the owl fabric. Some of the blocks minus the corners were given to me--plus a stack to be cut and sewn. So I finished all the blocks and added the corners in brown and came up with the setting out of my head. Still not sure where this is going...

I agree! The blue really makes the centres "pop".

Rachel 11-22-2010 10:53 AM

I like the "boring reversed brown and gold". sorry.. tee hee

texaspam 11-23-2010 03:04 AM

Love your stack'n whack. I get stuck with settings too sometimes. You have a lot of choices. You don't want to take the eye away from those gorgeous stack'n whack blocks. I think I like the brown paiseley too. Can't wait to see it.

trueimage 11-23-2010 03:41 AM

Light blue!!!! Gorgeous quilt!

NUTMEG10 11-23-2010 05:15 AM

Have you tried it with black? Blocks are great.

Fabaddict 11-23-2010 06:11 AM

I like the brown and gold. to me it makes the blocks stand out more

Tweety2911 11-23-2010 06:28 AM

Brown paisley. Beautiful colors in your stack n whack.

GraceyFaas 11-23-2010 06:33 AM

I looked at this and thought wow! For some reason, the thought of a rich brown or similarly coordinating dark color excites me. Beatiful so far!

judykay 11-23-2010 06:42 AM

Brown paisley would be my choice. Please post pictures when complete.

sawsan 11-23-2010 06:47 AM

I liked no 2 with medium blue and your work is just Beatiful

GrandmaLiz 11-23-2010 06:48 AM

I like the brown and gold, but think it would be better is cornerstones were nine patches so that they're "reverse" in all directions...

grannyp70 11-23-2010 06:49 AM

Do you have enough of the fabrics that you did your blocks out of to make your cornerstones? I think that either one of those would be pretty for your cornerstones. Just my opinon. Lover your blocks.

shopaholic97 11-23-2010 07:03 AM

I like the dark blue

Gina_D 11-23-2010 08:02 AM

I think using the same brown as the edges of your squares would give it more continuity. Or perhaps the lighter color. Just a thought.

homecaregiver 11-23-2010 08:24 AM

I like the lt blue it seems to pull the blue from your blocks and I think it makes a nice contrast to the quilt.

doowopddbop 11-23-2010 09:15 AM

I like what the dark blue does!

lpsewing 11-23-2010 09:25 AM

I like a touch of blue

jdavis 11-23-2010 09:40 AM

I like the brown, if you are going for a continuous mood to the quilt. But the light blue is very pretty. If you want to break up the quilt, that would do it.

franie 11-23-2010 09:52 AM

Still trying to work it out. I really don't want to take away from the blocks. Not interested in doing too much work either so 9 patch probably will not happen but wait, it might--still thinking on it. I hate this--I don't want to be anal--I know I know, I asked.

mshawii 11-23-2010 10:42 AM

I like the lighter ones because they don't over power the blocks. It lets them shine and be the focal point. Just my humble opinion. Jan

Qwiltylady 11-23-2010 11:59 AM

I like the rug best!

Sewze 11-23-2010 12:15 PM

I like the brown and gold reversed.

Pitty Pat 11-23-2010 01:48 PM

I think that you should use blue. The browns that you have already used is enough and the blue would be a very nice contrast. Overall, i love the pattern and think that you did a great job.
