This is a fun way to make your own fabric. Draw with sharpie markers on light colored fabric and add 90% rubbing alcohol to make the dye in the marker disfuse. Let sit overnight then heat set. Moosegirl

That's a really cool idea! Wonderful, I'm going to have to try that. Do you let it sit in the alcohol overnight or do you dip and allow to dry?

Aren't you clever. Looks like fun. How do you apply the alchol and after it is set is it then washable?

I used a foam paint brush to control the bleed factor-try small amounts first and see the results to decide how much to put on the drawn marker line. Moosegirl

What a wonderful idea. My 15 yr old DS is an artist and I was looking for a way to incorporate his drawings into a quilt. Thank you for sharing.
