Definately do the sashing. It's beautiful.

grandjan 04-27-2011 11:27 AM

I like it better with the sashing but that's so much a matter of personal taste.

JoanneS 04-27-2011 11:55 AM

I like it with sashing, don't know why, just do.

cbuchanan 04-27-2011 12:55 PM

I like the sashing. it frames the pieces.

dinlauren 04-27-2011 01:00 PM

Love it with the sashing.

Crafty Darlene 04-27-2011 01:18 PM

I love it with the sashing, but either way it is a beauty!

fayzer 04-27-2011 01:23 PM

I really like it with the slashing.

deedee 04-27-2011 01:27 PM

Really like it with the sashing - it gives more presence to the quilt in my opinion.

With the sashing. It makes the colors of the pinwheels pop.

abc123retired 04-27-2011 03:15 PM

My choice is with sashing. Whatever you decide will look great! This quilt is on my list and I'm anxious to get to it.

Kate01 04-27-2011 03:17 PM

With the sashing.

red-warrior 04-27-2011 03:24 PM

I love your quilt and it's wonderful colors. It is beautiful both ways but I too vote for sashing.

Shorebird 04-27-2011 03:53 PM

love it with the multi colored sashing...........really sets the blocks off.....

suern3 04-27-2011 03:54 PM

The sashing really makes the pinwheels stand out. Very pretty either way!

JAK 04-27-2011 04:00 PM

I just this past weekend finished a baby blanket with these same pinwheels and I did the sash, partly because I needed the blanket a little bigger but I think it makes the pinwheel stand out more. I LOVE your colors! This was such a fun square to make.

judyhh 04-27-2011 04:01 PM

IT IS BEAUTIFUL BOTH WAYS, BUT I DO BELIEVE THE SASHING ADDS A LITTLE MORE DEPTH. GEORGOUS....

Gram22 04-27-2011 04:04 PM

The quilt is beautiful, but definitely with the sashing or at least I think so! It really makes the pinwheels pop.

Without. I think without makes it look like a more modern pattern. It's lovely BTW.

Ditto. Sashing ;)

I like the one with the sashing.

alageeps 04-27-2011 05:11 PM

I personally like the sashing.. brings out the indivdual colors of the pinwheels. nice job nice colors. :-D

brickley 04-27-2011 05:19 PM

Both ways are really cute, personally I like the sashing, it brings all the colors together.

jitkaau 04-27-2011 05:42 PM

Both are nice.

Pieceful Quilter 04-27-2011 06:34 PM

Either way, the quilt is just beautiful! Your colors are so pretty. If you had shown me the quilt without sashing, I would have thought the quilt was gorgeous. However, having seen both I think the one with sashing is "uber" gorgeous.

Will the sashing make it a better size?

Momsmurf 04-27-2011 07:38 PM

Sashing definitely........love your choice for the sashing....picks up all the colors yet subdued.....Great choice!

Somebunny 04-27-2011 08:06 PM

Well I'm going to be the odd one here. At first I liked sashing but with a second look I saw this quilt being sooooo cute with all the pinwheels together and surrounded by the white with beautiful quilting to make them stand out. I see a fanciful border all around the outside to really make the pinwheel center stand out. I want to make one! How do you make those 3D pinwheels?!? I love your colors! What a cute quilt! Have fun finishing it. What ever you do it will be spectacular.

KSue 04-27-2011 08:09 PM

Both ways are pretty - just go with what you like.

Quiltaddict 04-27-2011 09:32 PM

I really like the sashing.

myfrenchawakening 04-27-2011 09:44 PM

I like the WITH SASHING but either way is lovely although if you were to go "WITHOUT SASHING" I would frame the inside border with a small inner frame of say 1/4in to 1/5in depending on your sizes. Good job! Therese

Pickles 04-27-2011 09:50 PM

With sashing , it's Beautiful :D

Agreed. I like it both ways too. Also, your border/sashing fabric is lovely. I think I slightly prefer it without the sashing. If it were my project, I might do one or more narrow inner borders of the lively pinwheel fabrics. whatever you decide, I am sure this quilt will be a joy to the child.
