I have done the good quality muslin route, pieced from leftovers and now I am using up the questionable fabric I bought for a guild project. Back is the mug rug on the left.

I'm in awe of ALL your backsides! LOVE the names. I see I need to be more creative with mine.

*** Very resourceful & very pretty backs. *** *** I do the same and use what I have one hand (very limited budget). *** ** Have no pics to show. *** |

This is my first & only pieced back. I need more practice in getting the back lined up. This was a Yellow Brick Road Pattern & some blocks that were left over. I did "ditch" quilting on the front & even though the back piece looks straight, the ditch stitching is not straight on the back. Not sure if it was the front or back that was not straight but I still like how it turned out. I plan to make more pieced backs.

Just finished another one with a scrappy back. The pic with the red cross is the front.

Very pretty. both sides could be the front in my opinion! Bravo.

I made a quilt back on my great granddaughters new youth bed quilt. She is three years old. She ended up liking the back better than the front because it had Dora the Explorer, Aerial, Tweety, Princess and turtles. But that's ok. Maybe she will like the front later on. Love creative backs.
