I use second hand mattress protectors bought from the Opportunity shop (charity shop) for a couple of dollars for all my quilt batting. Saves me heaps

These are all fantastic! Great inspiration.

I'm in awe of the backside creativity here.

These are what mine look like! I usually use the leftover fabric from the front.

osewme, it doesn't have to be straight on the back - that's why it's the back! I think yours is lovely. I personally would not expect it to line up with the front.

What a great thread! Love seeing all the creative ideas for piecing the back. I also started piecing my back from left over fabric from the front (sometimes I have to throw some extra in from my stash). Sometimes I almost like the back as much as the front! Attached is the current quilt I am finishing up.

Very attractive quilt, DawnFurlong! What pattern did you use on the front?

These quilt backs are so beautiful !!
I made a mistake- I did a King for our bed in gorgeous batiks, but to save money I used a backing that I can't stand looking at. Totally different color, and one that I don't like (that's why I used it for backing) But the quilt itself is really nice. I just try not to look at the back :D |
Great back! It ties in so nicely with the front. And the front is really cool, too.
