I haven't done pieced backs yet-but I love the idea-especially if they tie into the front, and/or make it reversable!

This is the most complex quilt back I've made. The front was made from scraps, so I thought the back should be too. My SIL received the quilt (a surprise) and at first thought the back was the front.

Mostly using muslin, but randomly piece in leftovers from the front. Cuts down a lot on scraps and stray blocks

Please share pictures of your pieced backings! I really love the way you do your backings. I always felt I had to have the same material to cover the whole back. Now that seems a little boring, I am going to try and piece the backing on one of my next quilts. Whoohoo |
