Well, arthritis and time constrains hand quilting. I learned to quilt as a hand quilter, but with computerized machines, there is new flair for making quilts by machine.

I like that I can get a quilt done in a fraction of the time it takes to do a handmade one.

Btw, love your pics! I am from Salem, OR, but grew up in Burns, Oregon which is about 275 miles east of Sisters. Been through Sisters many times as a kid. Brought memories! Glad to find that quilters love the little town!

These are just gorgeous. I've been wanting to go for many years. All those beautiful quilts and inspiration! Thank you for showing us.

The next time you talk to her ask her, she is the one in charge of all that but I think that we can swing by there before then!!

The last show I went to, I could not find the 50 wt thread I use for hand sewing. I just take regular patterns and convert to doing it by hand.
