Beautiful quilt. Love the pattern!

Great job K!! Love the colors also! I did the 'monkey wrench/snails tail' for one of my Black and White blocks. It was a fun one!

Loretta I think Drunkards Path has a curved seam - Snail Trail is just squares and HSTs - all straight seams. I want to do a Drunkard's Path one day though! :-D

A drunkard's path is a background block that is traditionally sewn to a quarter circle piece in a curved seam. I sew a "my version of a yoyo" to a background and cut in 4 for 4 Drunkard's Path blocks. It is easy to do. But it is not like the Snail's Trail. I'd love to try that one too!

pepite needs a long zzzzz.. those shots take a lot out of a little furball. :-) it's a traumatic experience, after all.

now, tell me how to unwatch this topic. even though i love the quilt.

edit: i get it - you can unwatch only AFTER you post to it.

If you're still watching... I tried to unwatch before posting and it worked.

I really like how the one pattern frames the other pattern.
Very interesting! It looks wonderful on your sofa. Hope kitty only sleeps on the beautiful quilt and doesn't do to it what he did to the sofa . :-( But kitties are sew cute :-)

This is beautiful, but the kitten is adorable! :D

I love it, but look at that little face on it. I love your furbaby.

The quilt is lovely and looks just perfect on your sofa. Kitten is cute too.

The purple 30s fabric with little white motifs and the dark purple fabric was sent ot me a while ago by butterflywing and I wanted to do something special with it - it went perfectly (I think!) with the calico which I got in Holland. It's machine quilted - zig zag over the seams and swirls (like a snail's shell) on the border and in the open spaces of the calico snails.

It's a throw for our little purple sofa which has suffered at the hand (or rather claws!) of the cat. The kitty in the picture is Pépite, our newest quilt inspector. :D

wow, can't remember if I saw this, K, so I must not have. It fits so perfectly and love the design and color...and kitty peeking over at the camera...how cute!
I should be more adventuresome, but I'm like the snails on your sofa cover...sigh!
