hahahah...looks like you need a second bin to hold them all in! isn't it fun to go through the 'scrap' box and find some treasures long forgotten...

I love doing these blocks since I discovered them on this site. They are so me because there is no a accuracy. Just go with it and use a template to get the final accuracy. And I love your room! It is so real.

I am convinced that the scraps just keep growing. I made have made 7 quilts from my scraps and still could make several more. Taking a break and using some yardage and adding more scraps to the others. I don't think it is possible to ever use them up.

you do have lots of scraps! I keep mine in shoe boxes by color, I do lots of applique so I keep even the tiniest scraps. but you are right scraps mate and multiplied like bunnies!

I wish I could say that is all I had was one basket of scraps. Many of the ladies give me there scraps, left over threads, and really anything they consider thrash. ;) As a matter of fact I'm going through several trash bags of this stuff again today.

They use to think I was nuts in sewing like I did but they all seem to like my pieces in the end and hence I get more scraps than I know what to do with. I am though going to make a concerted effort to smash that down in the next few months just to try and keep up.

I use no patterns. I just sew scraps together and than decide how I am going to cut them up. I was stitching and slashing long before they had classes on it. ;)

I especially like to use these sewed scraps and embellish threads and the like on them. I really have no plan of action when I start and often times start seeing an object/picture in those sewed scraps that tells me what to do with it. I have yet to this day ever used a pattern for such.

the basket is actually growing scraps so you are off the hook.
