glad it was your doggie, it was a stink bug last night crawling on my DH leg. He freaked, we torn the bed apart looking for it, found it dead on the floor. The best kind of stink bug is a DEAD ONE!

What I found on my side of the bed last night was a 90# Great Pyranese/Lab/Great Dane sleeping lenghtwise instead of across the end like he usually does. Had to PULL him out of bed so I could get in. Generally, he puts his butt on my end and his head on hubby's feet.

Rudy is adorable!! We had to kick Patches (my avatar) out of bed--he has "terminal toots" if you know what I mean!!!

Rudy is very cute!!!! My mom raised mini's for years when we were little. We always had one in our bed/sleeping bags warming our feet (they always wanted to go to the bottom until they got to hot). At the same time we had a great dane who was 36" at the shoulder. People would do triple takes when i took them for a walk.
My mom is 88 and still has a black/tan (although red's are her favorite).

OMG - at first only the top picture came in and I thought if there were a snake in my bed I would not be taking pictures and posting I'd be out the door and moving!

The others finally loaded and I started breathing again and thought - How cute - I thought I was the only one with a dog that slept under the covers. Ours will lay her head on the pillow and pull the covers up over her!

I have Buster the dashound and I know what you are talking about they love blankets and they hog the bed too. I used to have 3 others but they went to doggie heaven.

Thats to funny, When I saw the little tail I wasnt sure what it was.. My doggies, I have two Maltese one male one female and my male sleeps up on the pillows the female sleeps down at the other end.

Louie (longhaired mini Doxie) sleeps in my bed since my husband is gone. he sleeps right where my hubbies pillow goes! The scoots up close to me on my pillow. so sweet. Well, when hubby came for a visit in January, we were going to bed Louie is in "his" spot and just looks at my husband like "Yea, where YOU gonna sleep". He tried to push Louie out of the way, but he didn't move. It was funny!! My "men" had to make a compromise, they both fit in the bed.
I just LOVE my dachshunds!

Years ago, we had a doxy and her favorite place was in someone's jacket sleeve. They would go to pick the jacket up and it would be way too heavy, until dog dropped out.She was always too cold and in the winter, in CO, she would try very hard to stand on one or no legs when outside in the snow for necessary functions, meanwhile, the poodle would be out in the deepest part, tearing through all of it and have a blast.

I have had dachshunds in my life for over 50 years and they are all alike, they love to burrow. He will provide many hours of joy and comic antics. Thank you for your rescue.

Oooooo, Rudy is CUTE... reminds me of my first dog, Ginger... she was black and tan like Rudy. I was three or four when we got her and my mom had to call me at college when she passed... thanks for the sweet pictures and the sweet memory!!
