My dear friend asked me to take her recently deceased husband's shirts and make her a quilt, she didn't care what pattern, just wanted a quilt from the fabric to snuggle under when watching TV; do you think this looks o.k. so far? It's not sewn together, just laying on the design board with 2 different neutrals for the background fabric, she wanted it to look sort of western and scrappy.

How nice of you. My friends husband died before Christmas and I would love to make a quilt for her and one for his 95 yr old mother also. But they haven't said anything about it. Do you think I should approach her or just let it go. I think she would love it, but I don't want to offend her, but on the other hand, I wouldn't want to hurt her feelings...

I'd give anything if I had kept some of my husband's so I could make a quilt. Because I was moving & clearing my house and my mother's at the same time I gave them to either my son or the thrift store.

Wish someone had mentioned it to me.

KittyGram 02-16-2011 11:03 AM
