May in Jersey 05-16-2011 07:38 AM

Don't grow them any longer but do buy some from local farm market to make Zucchini Pie. It's not really a pie, it's a cross between and quiche and and fritta that's baked in a pie dish. Can be a side dish or main part of the meal - just love a piece with fresh jersey tomatoes and some fried Italian peppers, mmm... delicous summer meal. Also can be eaten hot, warm or cold. Wish I had some right now, May in Jersey

Wow. Still thinking about the garden-to-be. Frost/freeze warning for tonight.

They multiply fast so you will have lots.

Makes me hungry for squash. Love them anyway they are fixed.
The blossoms are so pretty...you could make a quilt from those pictures! How pretty would that be?

i saw on a cooking show where they battered and fried the young blooms but it sounds like too much trouble for me!

Fried squash blossoms are delicious! They're very popular in Italian cooking
