I vote for #1. Much more pleasing to the eye. Also lends itself to more intricate quilting. #2 is pretty, but I agree, it looks more like an afterthought.

I just love the 2nd one. But if I was the recipient, I would just love either one.

I love them both but if you use #2 please keep all star points teal. I also like the idea above of using both stars. Gonna be a gorgeous quilt. Show us when it's done.

Love block one the best! I like block two, but really love block one. Love your colors and border fabric, too.

Both are attractive....but I prefer #1 hands down......It is sharp and pleasing to the eye.....#2 is lovely but I find it distracting from the overall look.....just my humble opinion.....Bea

I like the first block better. To me the second block the flower is just squished in-that is just my opinion
