Now go to your LQS and buy some Thangles! They will change your life! Makes triangles SOOOOO much easier.

A lot of starch helps with the bias edge and even though lining up the triangles for sewing still confuses me, it didn't throw me off too bad. I'm tickled with my first block and looking forward to making the rest of them (17 more plus doing the flower applique in the center white area of each). I have officially conquered triangles! :D

Very nice - might just get some courage to also attempt triangles ! What size is the center block & small triangles ?

Your block looks very well made. Glad you took the plunge to do triangles - it will open up a new world of patterns for you! Beautiful fabric selection - the quilt will be lovely.

The center HST is 6 1/2" unfinished and the handle HST's are 2 1/2" unfinished.

After this experiment I have to say the best way to handle any technique that you're unsure about is to just tackle it head on and give it a try. Worst case scenario, it doesn't come out perfectly and you have to practice a little. :)
