What a clever idea! I will have to check my stash. Beautiful job on the quilting!

Using adjectives already expressed, it is so innovative not mention clever! Your quilting is awe inspiring too! Thanks for sharing. So much talent is shown daily on this board I'm constantly amazed!

Great idea to use up some of those "unique panels." Nice quilt.

Most of us have panels like this in our stash that we've never gotten around to making the vest, jumper, etc that was intended. So this is what I did with one. Made it for quilt guild & I thought it came out really cute. Just did a large crazy quilt block then did some quilting designs on my Babylock Esante that were sewing themed.
Then I did fmq around the shapes & meandered in the open spaces with my Janome 9000 Thanks for looking. |
Thanks for the idea. I have one of those meant for a pillow, front and back, that would make a sweet ba by quilt. It is a cat design.

What a fantastic idea! Thanks for showing this to us. This might actually be a great use for some panels and such in my closet.
|
great idea. I find these panels for items and never buy them (salv.army)

HOW CLEVER YOU ARE AND WHAT A GREAT QUILT YOU MADE FROM THE PANELS! (sorry - caps locked)
|
What a darling wall hanging. Your quilting is super nice too.
Several years ago a friend gave me the panel and the matching skirt fabric because she would never make the dress. I made it, but so seldom wear it. Your idea is so much better than what takes up room in my closet. The blue check will make a nice backing. Cleodaisy |

What a terrific idea !! So inspiring & will certainly last much longer than their intended use.
|
I love your quilt. I use vest and toy panels to make strip quilts. I like yours better. I also incorporate the drawing of the lady with the dress into my quilts. I use all of the fabric.
|
Thank you for all the nice things you've said. I have 1 panel left & plan on using it to make a sewing machine cover
