Most of us have panels like this in our stash that we've never gotten around to making the vest, jumper, etc that was intended. So this is what I did with one. Made it for quilt guild & I thought it came out really cute. Just did a large crazy quilt block then did some quilting designs on my Babylock Esante that were sewing themed.
Then I did fmq around the shapes & meandered in the open spaces with my Janome 9000

Very good idea. I have picked up these kind of panels on sale and made kaleidoscope quilts with them. Lots of fun.

Oh, you are so clever and found a great way to use the panel. Thanks to you I have a few ideas how to use up the panels I have had in my stash for years. Now they will be put to good use in a few little quilts.

I have gotten several vest, apron and stuffed animal prints (on sale) which I have used the same way. Always fun!

Great way to use those panels. I have seen them in the thrift store and didn't know what I could do with them.
