The "sweet potato fabric" is a future fabric by Timeless Treasures. Meaning... I found a preview picture and posted it here because I wasn't sure if people would know what it was, and - even if they did - whether enough people would like it, to make it worthwhile ordering it for our store.

Timeless Treasures does make a nice group of fruit-and-veggie fabrics, and their colors tend to be a bit on the brighter side.

Not being from a sweet potato growing state, I truthfully wouldn't even know if the colors look right for the subject. So... I wanted to get some thoughts from people who are "in the know".

recognized them right away! and i "nuke" them in the microwave, like any other potato, for eating. i'd probably make a "potato sack"/cooker pocket with it, or put it in a pantry quilt. i like it!

I love sweet potatoes, and I am from NH up near the border. Long years ago we used to get them in boxes via railway express - they came on the train.
(I still think Pecans are a rare treat)
I like this fabric! Cut up and pieced -not many veggies are that wonderful -go -with - the woodwork and furniture look.

Use it in a fall table runner.

The colors are exactly as they look in the bin at the store and it makes me hungry. But I have to reiterate - those are yams, not sweet potatoes. I love the Fall colors either way.

Yes! My fil planted sweet potatoes for 40+ years....I've dug a few. In fact, that's how we paid for MY college. We said I was on the sweet potato scholarship :-) Where, please tell me where....I have to make him a quilt with this fabric. He already loves me, but imagine the brownie points!

My mom made me a table runner and place mats with every different kind of fruit and veggie she could find, 21/2 inch strips maybe smaller but I love it.

Thanksgiving is right around the corner, how about a table runner or place mats, don't forget sweet potatoe pie. I love the fabric.

apron, table runner, pot holders, anything to aid in the kitchen or even a cover for a pie taker ( of course with sweet tater pie inside is nice too) :)
