Texas going away gift
4 Attachment(s)
My daughters friend is going to Brazil for two years. She asked me to make him a "Texas" quilt like the one I made her sister and brother when they left the state. It's only bandanas cut and re-assembled. Easy peasy. I usually use real Texas flags but I only had a couple of days to make it and Walmart didn't have Texas flags for some reason lol. I made my own with bandana scraps. It's also my first time doing FM loops. Don't look too closely at them.... I used a black binding and have to brag, I think it was perfect! Daughter loves her gift. He will receive it Sunday I think, and have a nice reminder of his home. Texas. :D
Thanks for looking! :D |

Very creative. Thanks for sharing it. I am sure he will cherish it while he is away and when he comes back, that is if someone doesn't try to buy it from him while he is away!

Oh Sheri, I LOVE it! I lived in Texas for 25 years and really miss living there. Fortunately my kids live in Austin and Fort Worth, so I do get there once or twice a year to visit.
