I saw this at a local thrift store Thursday. It was calling my name. My daughter has a machine that doesn't work so well, this would be cheaper than fixing hers. The price $ 15.00. I brought it home and it sews like a charm. It was in the original box, with accessories.

I have her twin sister at my house! I love, love, love that machine! I take her to classes. My husband is able to clean her up, oil and dust her, she sews like a charm!!

Lucky you ... FYI many of the White machines were made by Viking. but as I found out ... the feet are not all interchangeable. Only a very few.

What a beauty. Too bad our local thrift shops have highly inflated ideas of what their products are worth. I usually go out of town for such shops.

I found an older White a few weeks ago (mfg around the early 70's) and paid $25. I thought I had a real bargain(well actually, I still do) but yours is even better.
I'd never sewed on a White before but they are strong workhorses. They sound like they will last forever. |

My grandfather bo't my mother a White treadle in the early 1920's. She sewed on that machine for both my sister and me and I made maternity clothes and baby clothes on it. Still sews like a dream. Sure builds up the calf muscles in your legs! LOL
