I ALMOST bought something very similar to this from Ikea, but didn't want to spend the money.

Well, today at my favorite thrift store, there was one just like it for $15!! It has a little door which have three folding chairs in it! lol

Yay!!!! A cutting table for meeeee!!!! Also found a Rowenta iron for $5, but it totally leaks water. @@ Bummer that, but oh well. Can't win em all!!

craftybear 09-09-2011 02:13 PM

wow, love your table

BETTY62 09-09-2011 02:13 PM

What a find. I want one of those.

SandraQuilts 09-09-2011 02:13 PM

I had one of these once, before I started quilting, and we used it for a breakfast table for YEARS!!!~ these are great! great find!

QultingaddictUK 09-09-2011 02:16 PM

That is a super find, I had one just like it but one of the table flaps got damaged but the quality was so good that when I moved I took it with me and a handyman made a super work unit for me in my kitchen, well done on your find, bummer on the iron but you can't win them all I suppose

kriscraft99 09-09-2011 02:23 PM

oh wow!! score on the table

jdiane318 09-09-2011 02:26 PM

I would take those chairs out and put my rotary mats in there when I am not using them. The Rowenta, don't put water in it, but use a spray bottle instead, the heat and weight of the iron is worth that.

wuv2quilt 09-09-2011 02:31 PM

Cute table set!:)

Nanamoms 09-09-2011 02:39 PM

wOW! Great find! Agree with jdiane318, don't put water in the iron. Keep it for your "pressing"!

My thrift shops are always so expensive, I might as well buy new!! :(

Susanna10 09-09-2011 02:40 PM

I was thinking the same thing, especially about using the iron with no water. Great finds!

Tweety2911 09-09-2011 02:42 PM

Great table and fabulous find.

sewgull 09-09-2011 02:45 PM

Rowenta irons leak. I don't water in mind. When it dies no more Rowenta irons.

Great table! You really got a bargain! Very Nice!

Glassquilt 09-09-2011 03:28 PM

Love it!

Murphy 09-09-2011 03:32 PM

Wonderful table; love it. If the iron works otherwise you don't need to use steam. I don't steam when I piece.

DawnMarie 09-09-2011 03:46 PM

That table is absolutely cool!

valsma 09-09-2011 03:52 PM

Cool table.
At least with the iron you have an excuse for the iron leaking you bought it used. I just bought one from WalMart and it leaks like a colander.

Painiacs 09-09-2011 04:37 PM

Lucky u! I love that table!!! Never seen one like that before!

Ann L 09-09-2011 05:00 PM

Yeah for you! Will make a great sewing table!

lindy 09-09-2011 05:03 PM

How cool is that?

GreatStarter 09-09-2011 05:05 PM

What a great find!!! Congratulations, now go enjoy that marvelous find. And a rowenta, even if it leaks, another great find for the price you paid.

QuiltingJaguar 09-09-2011 06:00 PM

Now that is a GREAT purchase, chairs and most important a cutting table, YEAH!! Enjoy you get a gold star on this one!!!**

LLWinston44 09-09-2011 06:06 PM

Thanks all!!!! I am TOTALLY going to take the chairs out and use it for the mats!!!!! Love that idea!! Also will try to work with the Rowenta. This one was made in Germany so I thought it would be better than the ones n China. I dont know if that's true, but it made a difference to me. Lol. I've honestly never ironed without steam, but I'm willing to try!!! :-)

kacy 49 09-09-2011 06:37 PM

What a great idea! I just found one at a yard sale last week...the lady wanted $50 for it but I was just admiring it thinking what a great cutting table it would be but she comes over and says, make me an offer. I explained that I was just admiring it and that all I would be able to offer was $10 and she said SOLD! Her husband even delivered it for me. Four nice cane seat chairs inside but they may go elsewhere now and I might store my mats and rulers in there!

Blinkokr 09-10-2011 04:01 AM
