Gorgeous!!! A friend of mine is still "mourning" the loss of her old red barn. It was torn down last week. It had been in her family for several generations. I took many pictures of it, last spring, so maybe some sort of memorial can be made for it. Thank you for sharing!!

Sorrelpen 04-20-2011 04:51 AM

It is almost surreal it is so beautiful.
I live on a farm and love old barns. I am toying with the idea of painting a quilt square on a piece of old plywood and mounting it on our barn door.
I love you quilt and how amazing that you took the pix at just the right time any later and you would 've been tooooo late. Congratulations to the fund raiser and what a tribute to you for making the quilt.
Penny

Beautiful and beautiful quilting---this came just in time to give me courage. I'm making a Lighthouse quilt for my DIL and want to copy the Nubble Light at York beach Maine. I will have to use 4 printer sheets to do it and when I read about yours I knew I could do it also.
Thanks so much for sharing, Kutnso

Beautiful picture quilt. I just adore old barns, and am sorry to hear that it was torn down. Now it is lost, but not forgotten, as it will be remembered in your quilts.
