I love all the pink. A dark narrow border and then a wider neutral border will set it off beautifully.

JJean 07-24-2012 04:50 PM

Wow! Lovely quilt! I would audition all the suggestions and pick what makes it sing! If nothing makes it sing--then no border.

milikaa1 07-24-2012 05:05 PM

Nope, I like it very much. You can never have to much pink.

GailG 07-24-2012 06:13 PM

How long did it take you to hand stitch all of those tiny pieces??!!! I wouldn't use the pink. Perhaps the navy, dark brown, or even the very bright green for a binding only. Is that one you're going to practice on with the new LA? How big is it?

ctipton 07-24-2012 08:38 PM

You can never have to much pink.. Like the border idea also

tazzyMae 07-25-2012 02:08 AM

i don't think so...not if you like pink

Whigrose 07-25-2012 02:34 AM

I love everything about this quilt!

To me, this is one of those quilts I would complete with no border. This quilt has a very old feel to it :-) Lucky you.

best,
d

It's stunning, and I agree with what most have said here. Use a contrasting darker border. Kudos!

WMUTeach 07-25-2012 06:34 AM

Is there ever to much pink? For some...................... NEVER!

solstice3 07-25-2012 09:17 AM

I think it is perfect

Pam Riggs 07-25-2012 09:48 AM

Love it - but I do agree with adding a navy and then a darker pink.

joyce blint 07-25-2012 11:45 AM

Because it's a soft pink, I think it looks great! If it was hot pink, it might be a different story.

jerilee 07-25-2012 01:09 PM

love it!................

Teddybear Lady 07-25-2012 01:16 PM

I think with all the other colors it looks great. It does remind me of some of the quilts my grandmother made.

jk5602 07-25-2012 04:42 PM

Put a thin dark color and a white pink border. The two will make the pink the quilt really pop. I'm not a pink kind of girl, but I think you did a wonderful job!

Quilter 65 07-25-2012 04:49 PM

How tiny are those blocks? Can never have too much pink.

nannyrick 07-25-2012 05:00 PM

OMG!!! That is stunning. All I can say is WOW!!!

1screech 07-31-2012 12:08 PM

I would put a dark contrasting thinner border as a framing border and then the pink border. I might choose a little darker pink. It is beautiful and looks like so much work.

Jammin' Jane 10-16-2012 02:48 PM

I think it's gorgeous! Nice job! :)

grammey1956 10-17-2012 03:52 AM

Blinkokr 10-17-2012 04:03 AM

Just terrific, great job and thank you for sharing, black border will make it pop.
Have a Blessed day

Love it. You are going to get a whole lot of ideas for the border. On traditional ones I prefer no borders. It is your own preference.

lillybeck 10-17-2012 05:24 AM

Not too much pink at all. I think I would put a binding on it just like it is.

geneva317 10-18-2012 12:58 PM

I don't think there's such a thing as "too much pink!" Pretty quilt.
