My grandson LOVES trains, so I made this for his birthday. The pattern was a freebie from Fat Cat Patterns.
http://www.fatcatpatterns.com/Children%20Designs.html I did a serpentine stitch between the blocks, stitched in the ditch around the border and FMQ around the cars of the train. I didn't have quite enough of the Thomas fabric for the back, so I added some other fabric to stretch it out. Just adorable!! My grandson's are both into Thomas Train... The oldest has been so into them, that that is his only topic of conversation at times!! I am making a quilt for him of Thomas fabric... I wish I had thought of doing as you have! Love the engine and cars. Is that a pattern or did you engineer it :) ?
