Karla, that is soooo soft and beautiful! I love your choice of design for that fabric, it is lovely!

Keep going - that one is on my list to do too! Yours is a fine example to strive to match.

"Whispers", what a great name for a gorgeous fabric. Just love it's simplicity. That's gonna be one gorgeous quilt when finished. You're doing a great job. Keep up the good work. Enjoy.

Love the colors on this ... you're making me want to do one now!

And did I mention I have Whispers in at least two other colors?

I've had no sewing time for days as I am getting my classroom ready. Ugh--it's taken so many hours and I'm not done.

But I did get the back to the Black and White Splash done--and the one for Walk Through the Park is almost done.. and I made the decision to buy a 108" back for the watercolor floral log cabin... so I did make some progress.

I want to work on Kayaking and this one though!! I need more time!!! :?

I know exactly what you mean Karla! I need more than 24 hours to a day! You sound like you have gotten some things done this summer though!

barnbum 08-26-2009 05:56 PM

Well--my goals were to finish 4 quilt tops--two are done and two are still under construction, to kayak often (did that), and to work with horses--specifically to get Jazz lunging well (we have a good start) and to teach Rosie to lay down or bow (that didn't get done-not for lack of trying  ).

I have to weed the garden thoroughly one more time because once school starts 9-8-09--I don't touch the garden till spring.

So--it hasn't been a waste of time. And there's still some time left before it's over.

Sounds lke you've had a great summer so far....and still some left! The kids here have already been back for almost 2 weeks I think. Its weird how different the school schedules are around the country. I don't remember going back this soon when I was a kid, of course, we also didn't live here.

Enjoy the rest of your summer and maybe Rosie just needs more horse treats to learn those things. I know she is smart, she may just be out smarting you and Kennedy! Keep working, she'll get it
