if you're pleased with the results of the applique work, i'm sure you'd be happier if you took it apart and used those patches/blocks in a new project.
if nothing about it pleases you, sandwich it using batting scraps and the ugliest fabric in your stash. it will make a very good practice piece for quilting. :-) |
Oh Tracy it's not that bad. Little man would love!! Put a couple of borders on it and finish it.
I think it has positive potential - but I also think it would look nicer if it was taken apart and assembled differently.
It appears that you've already spent a lot of time doing the appliqued squares - like them a lot - so it would be a good thing if you could figure a way to make them work better. |
do you have a dog? they absolutely quilts and can find beauty in all of them!
I agree that once it is pressed, a border on it and finished you will like it better. I could see a young boy thinking it is the neatest thing ever.
Anything I ever made that I didn't like, my dogs got it and they love it. By the way, they have several things that didn't start out for them......... |
That is cute. Just iron it and maybe put a border around it and make it into a Wall Hanging. It will really be nice after you do that.
My 11 year old son likes it.
I think it would be darling if you just keep adding "scrappy" pieces and trim with a border.Make it come out to 42x48 and then practice machine quilting with it and donate it to a charity. People who need warmth and care will think it is beautiful and will treasure it. I really don't think there is such a thing as an "ugly quilt"!
I think it would make a great pillow sham on a little boys bed! My boys would have LOVED something like that when they were younger
I think boys would love it. Finish it and you might be surprised how it changes how it looks when it's completed.
