The red makes it pop.

cnolan 04-01-2011 08:41 PM

Just to throw in yet another opinion/suggestion, how about the b/w stripes for the sashing with corner squares in red, a wide border of the print, and binding in red?

Btw... GORGEOUS quilt, no matter what you decide!!!!!

connie d 04-01-2011 08:50 PM

I love the flower border best then my next pick would be the solid red. Good luck.

Becca Bear 04-01-2011 09:02 PM

Love the black and white stripe. Makes it pop. I would also position all of the blocks so the striped fabric is running the same direction as the sashing fabric. Just a suggestion.

KSue 04-01-2011 09:05 PM

I like the solid red but I am a red person.

Lv2sew2011 04-01-2011 09:13 PM

Ok here is what I have decided to do after all the blocks are finished, boy it takes a long time to do one of these blocks...LOL

Oh should I put squares on the sashing and if so red, white dot, or just leave plain???

I'm thinking maybe adding some white as a border too! (what to do! what to do!)

Quiltaddict 04-01-2011 11:05 PM

I really like the red.

Becca Bear 04-02-2011 12:08 AM

I like the red squares. Your quilt is really striking! Beautiful design and work!

Lilrain 04-02-2011 12:24 AM

I like the stripe, but i would only use it if you had all the stripes in the stars going in one direction,. Not necessarily in the same direction as the sashing, but it is a bit distracting to have them going different dirrections, for me anyway

Lilrain 04-02-2011 12:25 AM

looking good

PunkQuilter 04-02-2011 12:29 AM

Red Red Red!

joy 04-02-2011 12:36 AM

No white borders please... and no red binding... there is a lot of red in it already... some red is lovely but it can be overdone...

earthwalker 04-02-2011 01:28 AM

Looking great! I would go red and the red binding looks just right.

Oh Joy....you might not want to see my current quilt...my husband picked the sashing and backing and it's red, red and red

katykwilt 04-02-2011 01:40 PM

Red sashing, print border and strip binding. Or, just layer them in different ways and see what sooths the soul!

Lv2sew2011 04-02-2011 02:19 PM

Well, I pin a white boarder to see how it would look. What do you think (yes or no)

ccb2200 04-02-2011 02:24 PM

I like the first one.

Dina 04-02-2011 02:30 PM

Oh, I like it how you have done it last. You have had so many opinions....making the border decision is always the hardest part for me. Your blocks are beautiful.

earthwalker 04-02-2011 06:25 PM

I like the first one...but the second is good too...they both give it a very different look. Keep us posted.

grammysharon 04-06-2011 09:45 AM

I am going to contrary, I think red for inner border and black/white outer border.

Jammin' Jane 04-27-2011 08:10 AM
