What do you think?

MawMaw B 03-31-2011 06:54 PM

I like the black/white stripe for sashing. The print would make a good border. Just my 2 bits.

sewwhat85 03-31-2011 06:54 PM

i like the first one

maine ladybug 03-31-2011 06:55 PM

My first choice would be the black and white stripe. Second would be the plain red.

BETTY62 03-31-2011 06:56 PM

I like the black and white stripe. Love your colors.

erstan947 03-31-2011 06:56 PM

Maybe black and whit stripe for sashing, thin red border, print large border, stripe for binding.

Lv2sew2011 03-31-2011 07:02 PM

LOL, all your suggestions are making it harder for me to decide, but I do appreciate them, since I'm new and still learning...thanks a lot for all your help! I will take a poll then decide...hehe!

medots 03-31-2011 07:04 PM

If you chose the strip make sure the stripes stay the same down the length or it will look funny imhop

sewnsewer2 03-31-2011 07:11 PM

Guess I'm the odd ball, I like the roses best, second choice would be the stripe.

happyscrappy 03-31-2011 07:15 PM

i like the red. pop pop. the other two choices are more subtle and i like the "pop" of it. all depends on what overall effect you are going for.

I agree. With that lovely pattern, the print will take away some of its strength. With the plain color/s, it will still show up nicely.

The stripe for the sashing - floral for cornerstones or no cornerstones - orange for narrow first border and then floral for wide outer border

Isn't Photoshop great.

Linda71 03-31-2011 10:03 PM

I would use the black with the stripe going horizontal on the sides and vertical top and bottom. I also used cornerstones. Just finished a quilt doing that. Looks great.

I like others, like the roses, red binding.

Yes, what she said!

reader 0129 04-01-2011 02:50 AM

the red looks the best!

mimom 04-01-2011 03:26 AM

I like the first one. The black and white strips will likely be a pain in the but and the red is too bright. I would however put a thin red border.

SueDor 04-01-2011 04:06 AM

I like the black, red and white got the border.

jitkaau 04-01-2011 04:11 AM

If you can keep the stripes straightly, I prefer that one.

ns 04-01-2011 04:14 AM

I would use the flower as the sashings and the stripe as the border

I agree.

emerald46 04-01-2011 04:18 AM

I love the first one, makes the quilt look cuddly and feminine. The other two would be great as well.

LeeAnn 04-01-2011 04:21 AM

The stripe gets my vote.

quilter68 04-01-2011 04:32 AM

Black stripe. It settles the stars.

Minding My Ps and Qs 04-01-2011 04:34 AM

I agree with MawmawB - Even though I love red and I love flowers, for this combination I prefer the black and white strips - although I'm sure any of the possibilities will result in a beautiful quilt!
