Two little quilts
6 Attachment(s)
I wanted to share two small quilts that I've made this last year. The first I made for my daughter and has 5 flower motifs that I embroidered. The doilies were purchased because I just wanted to get the quilt done without taking more time to crochet the doilies. I hand quilted everything. The quilting is simple because I wanted the embroidery to stand out.

I learned on this quilt that the quality of batting really matters. The batting bearded horribly on the brown. I had to wet down the fabric and batting as I quilted it to keep bearding to a minimum. It turned out ok though. |

Two beautiful quilts! The first: I love the satin accents and the doilies Your embroidery work is wonderful. The second: Your piecing is terrific!! Both are works of art to be proud of

These are lovely. Locke th emboridery. So which batting do we need to stay away from?

How pretty! They're so different, but both beautiful. Love the idea of the doilies and I particularly like the framing you did around the embroidered blocks. The second one has such intricate piecing - you do lovely work.

The embroidered quilt is very pretty. I love the way you did the embroirdered blocks. This gives me an idea for a memory quilt for my mom who embroidered and my grandmother who tatted.
I like the colors in the one for your sister, too. I've done that block it is fun to make. |
Your quilts are so wonderful. The satin corners on the white squares of the first quilt are such a wonderful addition. What a clever and creative idea. You do lovely work.
