It is a strong contender Pat, but using the pattern on my backing fabric is favourite at the moment

Trust me there is no science to it, other than NOT spending too much time procrastinating, my only prerogative was to use a different fabric for each strip and finish with a brown and green strip on the outer edges, totally random of course

Just go for it, like I did!!!

See my post above, being 'free' with your fabrics is so liberating, even ugly fabric blend in when you have such a selection

Looking at your Avatar, it shows that you have exactly that ability, it's a beauty

Thanks again to all my quilting friends who have taken the time to send me such lovely comments.

Please don't be offended that I am posting so few comments myself, but my situation at home doesn't give me the time to spend posting as I used to, but rest assured I try and have a peak as often as I can at all your wonderful projects, it helps take my mind off the difficult times that lay ahead for me this year... bless you all xxxx

Oh I wish I HAD done the gold work, but have to admit no, it is Helen, who still lives over in Spain, trust me no photograph can capture just how amazing her work is, I miss seeing her progress now that we live back in the UK

:(
