I really like both versions. In the first, I see it give you opportunity to quilt and showcase the light space. And the second version lends itself to an overall pattern. Very nicely done. I think the first one was my favorite. (A bit more modern for me.) And the second one matches your bedroom beautifully. It really captures a traditional feel. 2 completely different quilts!

I really like the second quilt better. I like the first one too but the second one shows off the fabrics better. The red makes it pop. Great job.

Love the new version and would like to see it again post-quilting.

What a lot of work! However, the new quilt is stunning and a perfect compliment to the bed. Very nice!!!

I sure do like the change! Much more pleasing to the eye. Congratulations on taking all the work to dis-assemble your first version. I like the little touch of red too!

Very beautiful. I love the second one. Great job

The first one is a nice quilt, but the second effort is classy looking.

I agree, both are nice. I was thinking wouldn't it be great to make one of each using the same fabrics (like the pictures) to use on twin beds in the same room.

The second one is definitely more interesting, but both versions are great.

It was worth all the extra work as I like the 2nd version much better also. I too, have done exactly the same thing when I "hated" a quilt top. I ended up taking the whole thing apart to substitute a different colour & was also much more pleased with the results. Great job.

Totally different look.

heather1949 05-17-2015 02:37 AM

I think the first one is very nice, but I agree, the second one is the best! Good work!

husker67 05-17-2015 01:43 PM

Love the second one. What a lot of work taking it apart.

matraina 05-17-2015 03:00 PM

I like the second better, too; but it must have been a terrible job tearing the whole thing apart.

mjhaess 05-18-2015 06:16 AM

I love the second one...

A1penny 05-18-2015 02:28 PM

I can just imagine the work in taking apart that quilt....then having the energy, and your wits still intact to reconstruct the new version!
Great going, love the new version!

mike'sgirl 05-23-2015 06:39 AM

Yes, this way is much better. Your headboard is lovely.

solstice3 05-23-2015 10:08 AM

Both are nice but #2 is a step above!

Becky's Crafts 05-23-2015 05:37 PM

The second one is definitely prettier! Beautiful!!

Bluebonnets 05-23-2015 05:53 PM

Really, really like the second one!

Misty's Mom 05-23-2015 05:54 PM

Thank you all again. I can hardly wait to see how hubby quilts it. If our LA ever gets here.

Angel Bear 05-23-2015 06:00 PM

Wow! That was a ton of work, but I can see why you much happier with it. It looks great!

sewbizgirl 05-23-2015 08:26 PM

I like the "movement" in that first layout. The second is nice too, I just prefer it the original way. My, what a lot of work that must have been to change it.
