Katiedid2 08-14-2015 10:42 AM

I actually like sewing curves... Call me silly! Oh no, not perfect, but my kids don't sew so they'll never know. Lol

Very pretty!

NikkiLu 08-14-2015 01:53 PM

WOW - I love it - always love quilts with white in them - old timey feel to them. I actually spent a lot of money buying the templates for this pattern but have never had the nerve to even try one block after reading the directions, etc.

Nicely done! Pretty scrappy~~

Very pretty. For those who do not want to sew curves there is the "Easy Drunkards Path" block. You just applique a circle to the background square, then cut once vertically and once horizontally to make four blocks. I then cut away the extra part of the square from behind the circle, to reduce bulk, but that's optional. Love your scrappy quilt.

Katiedid2 08-14-2015 04:59 PM

used 5 inch template for block and seen pic on pinterest and went by pic. good tutorials on sewing curves... easier than you think.

quiltsRfun 08-14-2015 05:37 PM

liking quilting 08-14-2015 07:05 PM

Eye catching quilt! I haven't ventured into sewing with curves on a quilt yet.

Claire123 08-14-2015 07:57 PM

I really like it. It's amazing how many variations there are for drunkard's path and how different they all look.

jmoore 08-15-2015 03:22 AM

Me too..............tried once and it was not pretty LOL

bennie0755 08-15-2015 05:11 AM

I used the accuquilt die to cut mine. (All fall colors and a neutral background.) I havent set it together yet. There's a great video by Ebony Love on sewing the curved seams. My pieces finish at 3.5 inches, so I need a whole bunch more (about 700 total) before it is ready to set. I love your design. I havent decided on mine yet. Yours is lovely. I do love the crispness of the color combinations.

bennie0755 08-15-2015 05:12 AM

Try again! It took about 10-15 and now I can sewing them with no pins. Actually they work better that way.

fayeberry 08-15-2015 05:19 AM

Oh that's nice!

just_the_scraps_m'am 08-15-2015 05:25 AM

I love the vintage look of this. Beautiful curves, it must take practice to perfect them. It's going to be a gorgeous quilt.

annette1952 08-15-2015 06:10 AM

Very pretty! I tried the DP one time & I didn't have much problems making it but I never done anymore. Don't know why. Guess there is just so many quilts & patterns to try. Love yours though.

paintmejudy 08-15-2015 06:37 AM

Oh my, what a great job, fabulous job on the circles. Love scrappies myself, seem to be only doing them lately.
