.I made them a while ago put them together in a wall hanging , didn't like it and took it apart. I have no idea what to do with them. They are paper pieced and as you can see I flipped 2 when I did it.
I think they would make either nice pillows or tablerunners. And they are beautiful.
I can see a table runner or use them in a 4 patch format and use the 4 patch for a center of a quilt and build the quilt around them. 4 candle mats would work too. Lots of possibilities.
I think a table runner would be great... but you could just keep adding to it and make a lap quilt :)
Those are really pretty! How about adding a dark sashing (like the centers) and a border or two and making a lap quilt? I'm assuming they are fairly good sized squares????
very pretty, (table runners, hot pads, keep making more for a lap quilt, wallhanging)
have fun as you are doing a great job! |
I think I'd add a dark leafy print for borders and sashing and make a table runner. If it's the brightness that you don't like you could always tea dye them to tone down the bright. But I like them bright and cheery. You could make the table runner, or placemats or candle mats or use them in a quilt.
Tablerunner, darker sashing in between, with same on border, yellow backing, quilted.
I guess I am odd man out, because I think a blue to finish the design would be wonderful. Then adding a few sashing borders of the flower colors would be my choice.
By the way they are beautiful and what a lot of work you put into them! It would be a shame to hide them in a drawer. |
I love them- very different !!!
i lke thetablerunner idea, and so what you flipped two, no one knows, set it so it looks like you ment to!
I thought about a table runner but we don't use stuff like that here. (not my house) I didn't think about using the brown though for sashings, etc. I do like that idea. Maybe I will make a table runner and donate it to the Humane Society. Someone may want it. :-) They are having their yard sale soon.

I agree

Tablerunner, pillowcases!
Lots of good suggestions. They are very pretty so I hope you do make something with them and show us your final piece.
Pillows , place mats, table runner, candle mats to name a few. They came out very nice so find something to make and enjoy your beautiful pieces.
I would sew a frame around each one then put them in matching picture frames and display them as a group! :-D
I'm hooked on table runners lately so that would be my vote.
They are colorful. Great job on them. |

Just kidding, they're lovely, and I'm going with the tablerunner idea, although I'm also partial to framing them with a border print, and hanging them all seperately. |
i'm think a tote bag
I don't have any suggestions, but think they are really very pretty. How did you make them?
Those are beautiful. I would think they would make pretty pillows.
Definitely a table runner!! Love 'em!!

I think I may go the table runner route since that seems to have the largest vote. Stitchnripper they are paper pieced. I don't even remember where I got the pattern but I am pretty sure it was a free one online. |

You could add individual borders around each one and make four individual wall hangings. You could use them seasonally. K
Love the idea of table runner. Won't matter one bit that the flowers are different! How about sashing and bordering in green, the quilting leaves on the sashes and borders.
Would make some nice placemats too.

Thank you for the pattern.

Wall hanging. Very pretty indeed.
I like them. They have punch! Can you frame them individually with a border, and then hang them up gallery style? You would pay a decorator a fortune for something handmade like that!
Unfortunately I live with my DD and she is not at all interested in my quilting stuff hanging in her house. Where I sleep in also my sewing room ( her closed in back porch/family room) So no room there on the walls. All free wall space is taken up with my sewing stuff. lol
tdgriffin, I wish someone would pay me a fortune for that stuff. LOL |
a table topper with all the colors as the boarder. beautiful for turkeyday table
thank you for the pattern. love it
I agree, they are too beautiful to hide away and the flipping, we thought that is the way they went who knew? Table runner comes to mind, pot holders not so much. Would get icky around my house. Table runner my vote.
