MistyMarie- I love your quilt - that is the cutest pattern! Good job. Does the pattern have a name or did you make it up

The ducks are too cute. Something that has a larger block to put the ducks in so they don't get too cut up????????

I have some of the duck fabric and I used it on the back of a baby quilt which has embroidered duck blocks on the front.

ok I can not contain my tears as the ducky's remind me of my dad. The last 2 years before he passed away, all he ever asked for was a rubber ducky. I know this sounds silly but when ever he was sad he would sing the rubber ducky song and we all would laugh until we couldn't laugh no more. Since I had to move him into my house to be able to care for him, I turn his bathroom into a rubber ducky haven. I would have loved to have some of your fabric to make him a quilt for his bed. Oh what memories you have brought to me.
Thanks!

What would I do? Well I'd make a memory quilt of my dad with that ducky fabric.

I absolutely love that quilt!! However, I'm new to quilting and I've only done a runner, placemats and a baby rag quilt, yours looks a little complicated. What pattern is it?

I only have a yard of the duck fabric. To get more I'd have to travel 120 miles one way and gas is just too expensive for that. :(

Thanks for all the suggestions. There's quite a few I like. I don't want to use the two of them together............call me dumb but I just don't care for one side being bears and the other side being ducks.

I would fussy cut the ducks. If you want to see how they would look, take a small picture frame, or Matt board cut out. Lay over different ducks just to see how many different ducks are actually in that fabric. they will have a whole new look, just looking at one or two ducks at a time. I think you will like it.

I agree with you.
Just curious...have you thought about or ever done a pieced back? If you use a small amount on the front (say an applique duck center and 9-patches in the corners of the borders) and do a pieced back you could have them on front and back.

Looks like mine might have a lighter background than yours. PM me if interested.
