The same thing. Good for you , you now have a beautiful quilt for $20 and a little work.
|
Same thing you did, congrats on beautiful quilt.
|
Her loss ... your gain. What a beautiful quilt.
Congratulations! |
Darn it! Too bad you didn't let her give it to Goodwill. Then, I would have bought it! You would be amazed at the beautiful quilts that took hours and hours and hours to make, that I find there, often almost-finished. People like her have no appreciation for the art of quilting--you DEFINITELY did the right thing! Now, the quilt will be loved like it should be.

I can't think of a better way to spend $20.00. I would have done the same thing.
I think your offer of $40.00 was a fair price. A great winter project. :-) |
If she wanted it after it was done she would pay dear for it.
|
Exactly what you did. I think the quilt is in good hands now. Your mother's friend certainly missed out on not taking your generous offer to complete. I think she must not know a lot about quilting.
|
I would have done exactly the same as you. Now you have a really nice quilt - too bad she didn't appreciate it but some people never do.
|
this lady doesn't really know much about quilting. She is always just looking for a bargain. I think she wanted me to finish it for nothing. But, I can't even got my own stuff done. I thought I gave her a bargain price as it was. The lady that started it was handquilting every piece. That is a lot of quilting and a lot of time. I'll be sure to post it when it is finished. I love it.

You did the right thing. From a hand quilter...$40 was extremely conservative! If she didn't want to pay that much, she didn't really appreciate the quilt. The $20 she paid for it was a steal. Guess you got the good end of the deal.
