What pretty geese. I bet it was a booger bear, it sure looked like a lot of work. I know your mom will love her quilt and the fabric you've picked are very pretty.

I love the flying geese quilt and the colors are really beautiful. I know your Dad must have loved it.
I also saw the next post you did of the materials for your Mom's quilt, they are really lovely. Be sure to post pictures when you are done.

purplemem,
I love your choice of fabrics for both of these. If they are not already "grouped", you sure do have a talent for putting the right stuff together. I love your dad's quilt. Love it! can't wait to see your mom's.
I think it's so sweet that she is envious, boy is she gonna be one happy mama...you are good!

Well, I've got the pirate quilt top finished, now just have to do the quilting part. I really like how the colors all went together so well. DD LOVES it.

And I've gotten the border fabric for my ladies, so should have that finished this month sometime too. I'm going to frame it all in brown with my other beach ladies adorning the top and the bottom.

Brown trim with the beach ladies on the top and the bottom should finish this one off.

Hello all:
Well this was a quicki baby quilt, made in flannel material. I brought it as a kit online. I made it for my husband's niece's baby, a boy, he is due in March. Did machine quilting around all the figures and free-form hearts and swirls around the border, free form swirls in the smaller blocks with no figures. It was a really fun quilt to make and practically no cutting involved. I almost felt like I was cheating ;-) I know she and her husband will love it.
Planning next quilt now. Japanese fabric in greens and earth tones. Will post material choices and picture of pattern after the extra material I ordered is delivered.
Hope you all enjoy seeing the baby quilt. I think it came out cute.

melissa, I hope I am right that you were talking about the "butt border" on the beach ladies quilt...isn't that hilarious? talk about fruit of the loom...I saw apples, (round and curvy), and oranges, (dimpled, lol)...
