There are a variety of tension assemblies on 15 clones. I can't find it now, but it seems like there was a 15 clone that had a tension assembly like is shown on page 17 of an adjusters manual for the 15-91 (and others) that can be found at http://parts.singerco.com/IPinstManuals/15-91.pdf It seems like I have also seen a tension assembly similar to the one on my 115 as shown on page 13 of http://ismacs.net/singer_sewing_mach...ine-manual.pdf

I looked in my spreadsheet and I don't have any JA or JC numbers listed for any of my clones. It doesn't mean they don't have any, I just didn't put them on the spreadsheet if they did.

Mine is almost identical to the Kingston (the first photo) except mine is badged Rotary Electric. I would love to find a copy of the owners manual so I learn more about her.

Found this Japan badged General at a garage sale for $25. Can’t seem to find much info but she is clean and she works great!

Welcome, DKrenek. Nice looking machine. It looks like you may be missing the adapter (or attachment foot) for some of those attachments. More than likely those are Greist attachments and a manual can be found at
https://www.sil.si.edu/DigitalCollec.../sil10-215.pdf On page 8 of the pdf shows the attachment foot and then how to attach the binder, hemmers and edgestitcher. I'm guessing that you won't find much info on your particular machine as there were so many made in Japan. I'm guessing probably it was made in the mid-1950s. Many of the 15 clone machines do not have a JA or JC number, but some do.

Thank you, wonderful links and information! I wouldn’t have known about the foot attachment missing, will be on the lookout for it. I have two Montgomery Ward machines from the 70’s and 80’s that belonged to me and my daughter that has been in the garage, didn’t have the heart to throw them away so I dug them out. After a thorough cleaning and oiling both are humming along fine! Forgot how heavy duty they were, my newestSinger is almost all plastic compared to the old work horses!

Have a MACY SPECIAL I cant find any information on it. It old and in rough condion would like to know more about it and to restore it if possible. Does any one know any resources on a MACY Special?

I’m looking forward to all the pictures - my 15-91 (if I remember correctly) belonged to my MIL and is still up in NY. We inherited the house and will be up,there for Thanksgiving so I’ll take some pictures in a couple weeks. It hasn’t been used in many years and I’ve been wanting to see if it will even work. I know absolutely nothing about these machines so I may be asking for help!!!!

I have the same machine that was given to me many years ago, I just cleaned and oiled it and she sews wonderful. Thanks for sharing, I was wondering when it was made. I still cant find a model number, but I guess its considered a Singer 15 clone LOL
