Doing another bed runner but am stumped as to which color border would be best. It will likely be bound in the dark brown. Oh, and maybe have some French Roses on it as well. LOL Hooked on them roses....and maybe some ruched roses as well.

It really it straight - just not on wall very well. Thank you for helping me decide.

Thanks everyone. The darker border was already sewn on and then............I started thinking about the lighter one. Well, then I couldn't decide. LOL Darker border it is and I don't have to do any "reverse stitching"!

gal288 04-04-2011 01:43 PM

I like the darker border, brings out the colors in the quilt.

By the way, I did a tute on Ruched Roses in the tute section.

I think they would look great on the border.

I know, thank you so much. That's where I first discovered ruched roses. Can't wait to use them somewhere. Maybe on this runner along with some french roses too. Thinking.................

My choice would be the second border as it makes it appear more elegant looking.

I vote for the darker one, too. I agree that it does make it look more elegant. Depends on what look you wish to achieve. :D

I like the beige, too.

Vat 04-05-2011 04:48 AM

I like a darker border, I might even go with a black outer border and a pink and darker cream inner borders. You could create lots of interest in the border.

suekenyon 04-05-2011 04:48 AM

I prefer the darker border...very pretty.
