I can't decide how to put these embordery blocks together...pix not to good ..don't like the yellow block..I am going to redo it....so with or without the border and Merry Christmas..my Friends

quiltsRfun 12-21-2010 05:53 PM

I like it without. It forms a nice secondary design.

Sadiemae 12-21-2010 05:53 PM

I like the secondary design it makes without the sashing, but they will be pretty either way. I agree I don't like the yellow.

sharon b 12-21-2010 05:55 PM

Without the border

Ramona Byrd 12-21-2010 05:56 PM

That's a lovely pattern. Personally, I would not use the strips between the blocks, it detracts from the delicate beauty of this piece of art. And I agree, the yellow does not do it justice. This is a piece that will be admired for a long, long time.
Please show it to us when it's finished, we all love to look at such pretties.

Maia B 12-21-2010 05:56 PM

Agree with them, don't give up the 2ndary design.

LeeAnn 12-21-2010 05:56 PM

Definitely without.

leatheflea 12-21-2010 05:57 PM

I say with and leave the yellow. Nice work!

JanetM 12-21-2010 05:58 PM

I prefer it without the yellow sashing. It forms a real pretty dresdan plate design in the middle. Very pretty!

nativetexan 12-21-2010 05:59 PM

yes, without. it makes a "bigger"statement. lovely work.

mequilter 12-21-2010 06:00 PM

I'd go without the yellow

sueisallaboutquilts 12-21-2010 06:00 PM

Agree with the others. No sashing :)

azwendyg 12-21-2010 06:08 PM

michelehuston 12-21-2010 06:33 PM

I agree, without. And yellow would be ok, but just not that particular yellow.

scowlkat 12-21-2010 06:53 PM

I concur - without sashing and definitely - even though the yellow is lovely - no yellow with the other blocks.

That's a lot of work. Great job.

RkayD 12-21-2010 07:12 PM

Looks better without.

carolaug 12-21-2010 07:19 PM

Didn't even bother with all the votes--without. Love it. Beautiful needlework!

skydiver70 12-21-2010 08:50 PM

Without.

Veronica 12-21-2010 08:56 PM

Without

Tsanchez 12-21-2010 08:59 PM

I agree with everyone. I think it is so much better without the sashing.

Tropical 12-21-2010 09:27 PM

I too say without. Very pretty that way.

KiwiQuilter 12-21-2010 09:37 PM

I prefer without the sashing.

dunster 12-21-2010 09:51 PM

hospicenurse 12-22-2010 02:49 AM

no yellow......

SueDor 12-22-2010 03:08 AM

Without!

44quiltlady 12-22-2010 04:07 AM

I wonder if the yellow kiddycorner from the red would create a nicer balance (when I squint my eyes, I see the top dark). I like the yellow and without the sashing.

just-sew-together 12-22-2010 04:11 AM

I vote for........Without. Also you might try moving the YELLOW block in the space above (blue) that way it will balance out. The blue & lavender blocks are too close in color and give little contrast. The Yellow adds sunshine to the space.

BTW LUV the embroidery blocks.....o-sew-pretty.

gypsyquilter 12-22-2010 04:14 AM

without definitely :-)
