I just finished this wallhanging for my brother whose home is contempary. It is a Thank-you gift. I would like your thoughts on how to fmq it. I don't want it to take away from the design and be too busy. It is a pattern by Elizabeth Long in a Patchwork & Quilting Magazine. I was thinking of stitch in the ditch for the blocks but don't know about the black border. I would appreciate any and all opinions. Thanks

My goodness that is a neat work of art he will surely love it. If there is a Jo Ann's or Michaels near you bet they could frame it up good.

I am not good for any quilting suggestions, but wow, what lovely work and what a beautiful runner.

I could stare at it all day. Absolutely beautiful!

it is a work of art, stitch in the ditch!

Beautiful.

Wow. That's beautiful!

That is an eyecatcher! Wonderful job. I suggest some kind of design in the border.

I have a bunch of the Log Cabin Twist paper piecing sheets. I really should use them up and your lovely piece is inspiring me. I would STD on the twist blocks becaue you want the design to stand out. I think I would mimic the twist on the border but only half? Kind of like half of the lotus shaped flowers you see in Egyptian art murals? Whatever you decide it will be beautiful!

That is just beautiful. Pat yourself on the back. Great job.
